Sport at Costock
At Costock C of E Primary School, we firmly believe in the importance of helping pupils learn to live a healthy and active lifestyle.
The Importance of Sport
We believe that providing pupils with positive early experience of sport is vitally important. Not only is it key to maintaining pupil’s health and wellbeing, but it also supports pupils in developing teamwork, resilience, respect and sportsmanship. Through a wide variety of high quality extracurricular clubs, we endeavour to provide pupils the skills needed for a wide range of sporting/physical activities.

We seek to ensure that children show resilience sports and have the self-esteem and motivation to succeed.
We encourage pupils to be supportive and motivate others, as well as consistently showing values such as fairness and respect when taking part in sporting activities.

Clubs

We provide an extra curricular sporting opportunity every lunchtime as follows:

Monday - KS2 netball
Tuesday - KS2 cricket
Wednesday - KS1 football
Thursday - KS2 football
Friday lunchtime - Twinkle / Class 1 cricket

We have had an excellent start to the year, with lots of children (new & old) getting involved in all of our clubs.
Despite being a small school we are proud to be able to enter both a boys and girls team into the Rushcliffe Schools Football Leagues this school year and are looking forward to the summer period where we will be involved in lots of cricket and netball events.
