School Meals

Children may bring packed lunch or have a meal provided by Nottinghamshire County Council School catering service.  We offer a family service and all meals are cooked daily in our school kitchen. Our hot school meal service continues to be extremely popular.  We ask parents to provide a sensible and balanced content to their child’s packed lunch.

Our Current Menu

We can cater for vegetarians, vegans, special diets and allergies - all we ask is that you register your child's dietary requirements with us.  Please speak to the school office to register your child as requiring a special diet as detailed above.

The menu is currently varied over a three week period to ensure a good variety of food types; fewer items high in fat, sugar or salt, plenty of fruit and vegetables to contribute towards the target of five portions a day and including foods high in omega 3 i.e.  a nutritionally balanced diet.

Universal Infant Free School Meals

From September 2014, all children in reception, year 1 and year 2 at state-funded schools in England became eligible for free school meals, as part of the national Universal Free Infant School Meals scheme – a registration form will be provided by the school when your child joins.

Free School Meals

All children attending state-funded schools are eligible to receive a free school meal if their parent receives certain benefits.  Details of this can be found through the following link, Nottinghamshire County Council Free School Meals, or you can contact the free school meals team by telephoning 01623 433009.

You can also register for free school meals online here

It is important that all parents who receive one of the benefits listed register for free school meals (even if your child is currently in reception, year 1 or 2) as this will enable us as a school to claim additional funding through the pupil premium allocation which is used to raise attainment.
