School Governors
All state schools are required to have a Governing Body which has a responsibility for raising school standards through their three key roles of setting strategic direction, ensuring accountability and acting as a critical friend. They are the largest volunteer force in the country.
Costock School Governors
At Costock C of E Primary School, the Governing Body is made up of Staff, Parents, members of the Local Authority and of the Community.
There is an expectation within our Code of Conduct for Governors that each governor will become a member of a committee and will take on additional responsibilities as a Link Governor.
