We finished off the school year with a bang!
Competing in not one, but two, cricket tournaments (and securing a trophy) as well as holding a very successful sports day.
We also took part in a year 1-2 Multi Skills festival where the children represented the school in our brand-new Forest kits. Some of our year 4-5 pupils went off and took part in a scatter ball rounders festival where they had a fantastic time experiencing a new game. Our year 6s headed off to ELA, with other year 6s from the ELA feeder schools, for a day of sports. We then finished off the year with our annual netball match against Willow Brook. It was a thrilling game and Willow Brook took home the win with a last second goal to finish the game at 9-8. Well done to our player of the match Esme, who scored 7 goals!!!!
It has been such an amazing and successful year. Across the school year we have taken part in over 50 different sporting matches, events, festivals, tournaments and activities. It is such a fantastic achievement and one that we are very proud of.
Our trophy cabinet this year’s comprises a netball and a cricket tournament winner’s trophy, an athletics bronze medal, a football girls league trophy, an equal access football school partnership trophy. Most importantly though, we finish the year off having had such a fantastic time at every single event - the children have represented the school superbly all year round and we can't wait for next year!
A huge thanks to all the parents and carers who have provided support throughout the year, whether by cheering from the side-lines or by giving lifts and allowing your children to participate. Your efforts are truly appreciated and do not go unnoticed.
