This year, our gardening club has remained incredibly popular with the children. Thanks to our fantastic volunteers, John and Geoff, the garden has flourished. From savoy cabbage and kale to potatoes and beetroot, many in our school community have enjoyed the results of the gardening club's efforts. This year, we even created our own Costock black currant jam! All the club members loved the tasting session and were thoroughly impressed. One child remarked, "I don't normally like jam, but this is delicious!" We look forward to another bumper crop next year.
Our gardeners not only cultivate fruit and vegetables but also care for the flower pots scattered around the school. Under Mrs. Walker's careful supervision, they plant and prune throughout the year.
None of this would be possible without the dedication of Mrs. Walker, John, and Geoff, as well as the regular donations from Six Acres Nurseries. So, THANK YOU!
