Autumn 1 Sport

This half term has been packed with football activities! From the year 2 boys to the KS2 girls and boys teams, we've experienced it all. After the three tournaments, we also took a group of year 5/6 children to a football festival at East Leake Academy, where they engaged in many enjoyable skills and drills, and, as always, they represented Costock wonderfully!

We ended the half term with two matches. First, the boys faced Lantern Lane in a league match, where we unfortunately lost 4-0 to a stronger team on the day. Despite the defeat, there were many positives to take away, and I'm confident the boys will be eager to return to winning form. Next, the girls played Bunny in their 1st round cup match, and they truly impressed! We secured a comfortable 5-0 victory, with one of our players scoring a hat trick. The entire team was outstanding, from the defense, which didn't allow Bunny a single shot on goal, to the attackers who could have scored even more if not for the post and crossbar—they all played brilliantly.

It's also been wonderful to see so many children from the entire school attending our lunchtime clubs!
